Home Sellers Open their Doors

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

REALTORS® around the nation will be holding open houses on the weekend of April 10 and 11, 2010 during REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend! Thousands of people who have listed their home for sale will open their doors with a REALTOR® as host, for you to look around. Look for open house signs throughout your town.

How is this weekend different than any other weekend in April? This is an incredible opportunity for consumers to shop for a new home while:

  • Interest rates are at a historic low.
  • Home prices offer an amazing value to buyers in all price ranges.
  • There are a variety of home choices available in our inventory.
  • The Expanded First-time Homebuyer’s Federal Tax Credit is still available.  This includes first time home buyers and return buyers that qualify.  It ends April 30, 2010.

So get out and visit all the open houses in your area on April 10-11.  Participating offices are Coldwell Bank Village Properties, First Colorado Realty, Peak Realty, Prudential Team Realty, Range Realty, and RE/MAX Mountain Brokers.  Many agents are offering refreshments and drawings for gift certificates.  After all one of the open houses you visit may be the one you’ve been looking for.

The Estes Park Board of REALTORS® currently has approximately 60 REALTOR® members. Dedicated to serving America’s property owners, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, The Voice for Real Estate, is the largest professional association at over 1,112,000 members strong. So, whether you’re buying or selling a home, it pays to work with a REALTOR®. Look for the REALTOR® logo when choosing your real estate agent.

Home Owner Associations

Friday, March 12th, 2010

pinAs a service to the community, The Estes Park Board of REALTORS maintains a database of home owner’s association information for the Estes Park area.  This information is used by home owners, future residents, and industry professionals such as insurance companies, title companies and the REALTOR community, and occasionally by emergency services or the Town of Estes Park for important notifications.

The Estes Park Board of REALTORS is asking for the communities help to keep their home owner’s association records up to date.  The board is mailing a letter asking representatives of local home owner’s associations to visit our website to review the HOA information:  www.estesparkrealtors.org.   The Estes Park Board of REALTORS is offering two options to change the HOA information.  The information may be updated by contacting our webmaster using the link at the top of the page on the website, or fill out the enclosed postcard and returning it to our office.

Help us get the word out by sharing this blog with HOA representatives you may know.  The Estes Park Board of REALTORS appreciates you taking the time to help keep the database records current for the benefit of us all.  Please contact our Association Executive, Lindsay Corder, at 970-586-6628 if you have further questions.
